Testicular Cancer Survivors Partner with MANSCAPED® for Testicular Cancer Awareness Month
April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, and at MANSCAPED®, we’re all about your balls. So, we’re here to spread awareness and advocate for men’s health.
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men ages 15–35, yet many remain unaware of the signs or are hesitant to talk about it. That’s why we keep talking about your boys, because early detection is essential. When detected early, the survival rate is over 99%.
This year, we’ve teamed up with testicular cancer survivors Nathan and Fernando to share their powerful stories and encourage men everywhere to take charge of their health.

Meet Nathan.
All about reducing the stigma, Nathan shares more about his journey with testicular cancer —from self-check, to diagnosis, to recovery.
-
What made you decide to get checked? - "I initially went to the doctor because I felt a lump accompanied by pain. An ultrasound revealed that I needed surgery right away."
-
How did the Testicular Cancer Society (TCS) help? - "The community of men who have had similar experiences with TC helps those newly diagnosed feel a sense of relief when faced with the scary unknown of cancer treatment."
-
What advice would you give to men who recently got diagnosed? - "My advice to men who have recently been diagnosed is to seek support and avoid negativity. It’s a difficult journey, but one that can lead to personal growth."
-
What does it mean to be a part of a campaign that promotes awareness and education around testicular cancer? - "I’ll do anything I can to create awareness for TC. Sometimes that means speaking to survivors and their families; other times, it means putting on a purple pair of underwear to help promote awareness!"
- What impact do you think partnerships like this one can have in breaking down the stigma around discussing testicular cancer and men's health? - “Talking about testicular cancer is uncomfortable and so is talking about grooming your man parts. But both topics need to be acknowledged. MANSCAPED® has made something that was once uncomfortable fun! It’s never easy to talk about cancer, but we can prevent things from getting hairy if we advocate and spread awareness!”
Meet Fernando.
Struggling with past trauma, Fernando spreads his message about overcoming fears and seeking support when it’s needed.
-
What made you decide to get checked? - “Going to the doctor meant facing what had happened and being okay with someone touching my private areas during treatment. I was struggling and going back and forth between my fears and also wanting to be healthy for my nieces and nephews... I want to be a positive influence in their life.”
-
How did TCS help? - “When receiving my first treatment with removing one of my testicles, they told me that I was all good and there was no sign of cancer. Later down the road, I was still having pain, and the doctors told me that this could be the stress or anxiety I had. I had my case manager help me advocate to get a second test, when results came back, my cancer came back the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes. RPLND Surgery was the next treatment I needed to finally be cancer free...“Through all this, I learned a new level of grit plus advocating in different ways to survive and develop community.”
-
What advice would you give to someone recently diagnosed? - “To those who are just told they have TC, this is shitty news bro, it’s some bullshit that feels like a new adaptation to life. So, I'll say look into finding other TC guys who can give you more insight. I recommend you reach out to the Testicular Cancer Society ASAP.”
- What does this campaign mean to you? "To be part of a campaign that promotes awareness and education around TC. This is my meaning to life now to ensure we can support our guys with TC.”
