In partnership with the O.R.G.A.S.M Research Lab, a collective of sex researchers from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, MANSCAPED® conducted a study exploring masculinity, sexuality, and, yes, d*ck pics, from the perspective of both the senders and recipients.
A cornerstone finding of the study revealed a crucial insight:
Sexualized body parts were among the least likely to provoke a response, while pictures of the face accounted for 73.5% of positive responses.
To put it more simply for us non-scientists:
![A man laughing within a speech bubble surrounded by bubble images of surprised and thoughtful women, and a heart emoji." Caption reads: 'A face pic is 9x more likely to get a response than a [eggplant emoji].'](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/7919/8747/files/Statistic_image.jpg?v=1753129267)
“Men are nine times more likely to receive a text back when they send a picture of their face versus any other body part.”
The study showed that recipients are more interested in face pics than d*ck pics. But the study also showed that men are more comfortable sending the latter. And a majority of those men are not sending them for nefarious reasons; most are seeking genuine connection, a text back, a partner, etc. But despite their desire to elicit positive reactions from sending unsolicited dick pics, the recipients overwhelmingly react negatively.
Sexualized body parts such as the genitals and butt (3.2%) were less frequently selected, and areas such as the hips, arms, legs, and back were among the least likely to provoke a response. Features of the face (face, eyes, and mouth/smile) accounted for 73.5% of responses, making face pics approximately nine times more likely to elicit a response than the genitals.

The only problem is that in another study, the O.R.G.A.S.M Research Lab found that the majority of men stop smiling in pictures when they turn 13, and thus are not accustomed to taking pictures of their face. Taking a face pic, putting care and effort into how their face looks, is foreign to a majority of men.
That’s where we, the brand MANSCAPED®, comes in. We’re giving guys the tools and the confidence they need to send the face pic the recipient wants instead of the d*ck pic they don’t.
MANSCAPED® wants men to see why someone might want a face pic, use the front facing camera, and “Send Face Pics Instead™.”
